Spaghetti with ham and asparagus

This spaghetti with crispy ham and asparagus is a great option for simple dinner with lots of flavour.

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.
  2. Arrange the ham slices on an oven tray and cook for about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the tray from the oven, let the ham slices harden and break them into pieces. Set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package directions, with the fleur de sel.
  4. Heat half the olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the asparagus without the stalks, together with the garlic, previously peeled and chopped. Cook for 4 minutes. Cut the asparagus into small pieces and set aside.
  5. Drain the pasta, place it on a serving dish, add the lemon zest, the freshly grated parmesan, the asparagus and the pieces of ham.
  6. Season with pepper, basil and the remaining olive oil. Stir and serve immediately.
