Product Description
he cold waters of the North Atlantic first pass through two natural filters, a sandbank and a mussel bed, before being transported by pipelines to large heated reservoirs. The water evaporates slowly and then turns into brine. When the salt concentration is too high, the water is poured into shallow tanks to crystallise. The crystals are then harvested by hand and rinsed in water until they sparkle.
Harvested by hand, Halen Môn salt is guaranteed to be 100 per cent additive-free. Crunchy, delicate, pure and translucent, these sea flakes are harvested with the utmost care thanks to a well-studied system that preserves trace elements and minerals.
Honoured by the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards in 2019, Halen Môn salt is a must-have on your table. Discover some possible uses here:
– biscuits and their touch of salt: take the biscuits out of the oven and add a small pinch of Halen Môn salt on top;

– Hollandaise sauce: season your Hollandaise sauce with a few pinches of Halen Môn salt to go perfectly with your fish.
The Halen Môn salt adventure began in 2007. A couple fell in love with the island of Anglesey in Great Britain. It’s the place where the sea is the purest in the UK. The couple then decided to produce quality sea salt. Halen Môn salt takes its name from the Welsh “Ynys Môn”, which means Anglesey, its island of origin. The purity and excellence of the flakes of this sea salt attract the attention of chefs, so much so that today this small family business of 12 people exports to 22 countries around the world. Barack Obama himself, former President of the United States, declared that Halen Môn salt is his favourite!
