Product Description
Chianti Classico DOCG Castello di Albola is a ruby red wine cultivated in Radda Chianti with Sangiovese grapes, vinified according to tradition and by expert manual skills to bring to the tables an elegant, harmonious and very fragrant wine. The grapes, harvested manually, are vinified with great care according to the traditional fermentation method in the presence of the skins to enhance the strong personality conferred by the territory of Radda in Chianti. After malolactic fermentation, maturation takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months. With ruby red tending to garne colour and fine with delicate hints of violets perfumed. The Chianti Classico Riserva has harmonic, dry with good structure and velvety fabric flavour. It goes well with traditional dishes rich in flavour with grilled meats and aged cheeses.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: The grapes are hand-picked and then vinified with great care by using the traditional method of fermentation in the presence of the skins so as to highlight the strong personality conferred by the soils of Radda in Chianti. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months.
COLOR: Ruby-red color.
BOUQUET: Bursting with strawberry, red berries and notes of sage, spice cake, and subtle earth.
PALATE: Vibrant and medium-bodied revealing lively cherry and exotic spices that lead to polished tannins and a delicate finish.
FOOD COMBINATIONS: Richly-flavored dishes of the traditional Chianti cuisine like red tomato based sauces, as well as grilled meats and mature cheeses.
