Product Description
Originating in the city of Zhenjiang, glutinous rice and other grains such as wheat, barley and a type of pea are fermented by traditional methods to make the seasoning. The flavor and color of the vinegar can be adjusted by adding water filtered through the heated rice until it turns black. This vinegar is produced by the century-old Jiangsu Hengshun Vinegar company, it is aged for 3 years in traditional urns to promote a deeper and more complex taste.
