Jasmine rice is very similar to basmati, but with less gum. Also called ‘Thai’ because its original from Thailand, it is known as one of the most pleasant and aromatic rice in the world.
The lightly sticky grains separate when re-heated.
Ingredients:
Jasmine Rice.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place.
Preparation Suggestion:
Put boiling water in a pan, add the rice. Cook for 10-12 minutes. Drain well and serve.
Usage Suggestions:
Generally used in Indian dishes, accompanies dishes that carry condiments such as curry or pilaf.
