Product Description
It gives dishes a penetrating, bittersweet flavour, but is relatively mild, so you can use it generously.
It is widely used in the Middle East and Mediterranean region to add acidic and spicy flavours to salads and marinades for meats. In ancient times the Romans used it in place of vinegar or lemon, which only came centuries later.
