Contrary to what its name suggests, the death trumpet is an excellent food: they allow the proper functioning of transit and cells, promote blood circulation and bone development.
Also called horn of plenty, its appearance fully justifies the name: it is very similar to a charcoal coloured funnel, standing on one leg with a hat torn into small pieces
This mushrooms grow in light and moist soil, rich in limestone and clay, under beech, maple, hazel and oak. This fungus is sometimes difficult to distinguish from the soil due to its dark colour, irregular shape, small size and because it is often born from below dead leaves.
Ingredients:
Dried Black mushrooms (Craterellus cornucopioïdes). Hand picked. Subject to desiccation.
Preparation Suggestion:
Rehydration instructions: Place in water for 30 minutes. Rinse in a slotted spoon and use as fresh mushrooms.
Usage Suggestions:
Ideal to prepares soups, sauces and fillings.
