Ziti is a pasta originating from Campania, Italy. They are shaped into long, wide tubes, about 25 cm long, which need to be broken by hand into smaller pieces before baking.
In Sicily, they are traditionally served at a wedding feast. Ziti is the plural form of zito , which means “bride” or “groom” in the Sicilian dialect.
