Product Description
South of the gulf of Naples, on the Sorrentino peninsula, the famous Sorrentine lemons are born. These lemons are rather big with an intense flavour and unique organoleptic characteristics.
In the “Il Convento” farm the lemons are washed then using the special equipment they zest the skins very finely. The peel is then put into a steel container with pure spirit to rest for 8/10 days, this is then sieved and goes into a tank at a controlled temperature to preserve the organoleptic properties, cane sugar is dissolved with water and added to the infusion.
This process raises a liquor with a golden colour and an intense and delicate taste. Limocello is one of the favourite Italian drinks.
