Product Description
It is a tropical herb, very versatile and used for: medicinal purposes, insect repellent and as a seasoning.
Fresh stems and leaves have a lime odour because they contain an essential oil, which is also present in the lemon peel. As a seasoning, it is fresh and appreciated for its vibrant flavour.
In its dry form it can be used for teas and infusions.
The oil extracted from the plant is used in the manufacture of candles as insect repellent creams and lotions, because it is also antiseptic, bactericidal, deodorant, sudorific, anti-parasitic, tonic and stimulant.
Ingredients:
Lemongrass 59%, water, salt, sunflower oil, acidity regulator: acetic acid, antioxidant: citric acid, ascorbic acid.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. After opened keep refrigerated.
Preparation Suggestion:
Citronella Steak Recipe (2 people): Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan. Sauté 1 chopped garlic until golden, add half onion and 1 sliced pepper, as well as 6 pieces of baby corn. Add 250g of sliced meat and fry. Add the citronella paste, 6 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon of fish sauce. Let it boil. Lower the heat and cook for some time.
Usage Suggestions:
Ideal for sautéed beef and soups.
