Originating in South-East Asia and North Africa, but there are also wild coriander in Eastern and Southern Europe.
I’s a key spice in the Middle Eastern, North African and Indian dishes, essential for curry powder and is used in blends like Ras el Hanout and Baharat.
The Coriander has a characteristic soft and fruity flavour, reminiscent of lemon and sage, and a fragrant aroma.
It is thought that have been one of the earliest spices used by mankind, for they were found in the Egyptian tomb of Tutankhamun and are mentioned in the Bible. The ancient Greeks used coriander to make perfumes.

Store in a dark, cool and dry place.
Preparation Suggestion:
Add half of a teaspoon to a cake recipe to give it an interesting flavour.

Ideal for home-made salad dressings.
