The qualitative choice of raw materials combined with unique craftsmanship make the gourmet excellence of the chocolates and chocolate bars. The gourmet creations, and in particular the range of praline chocolates with hazelnuts, salted butter caramel, pistachio, coffee and coconut, have won two prizes at the Salon du Chocolat de Paris, in 2003 and 2006 respectively.

Comptoir du Cacao is a French family-owned artisanal chocolate factory, this has been producing gourmet chocolates with cocoa from origin and cocoa butter for 20 years, with artisanal tradition and the know-how of master chocolatiers.
In the heart of the Gâtinais, in the Loiret (France), in the early 1990s, the Desmartins family discovered their passion for artisanal chocolate production, until then they were only focused on their main activity as event organisers. The Desmartins family created their first chocolate workshop within the Domaine de l’Anche, France. Thus begins the history of the “Comptoir du Cacao”. Today the whole family is involved in this chocolate adventure. Benjamin, the second son of the Desmartins family, is an emblematic figure of the brand has become Master Chocolate maker and has developed his own recipes within the brand, he has also won several awards among them is the Competition Meilleur Ouvrier de France.

This is the Cocoa Horizons programme, to which Le Comptoir du Cacao contributes to a sustainable future. This foundation acts on the ground to help dispel many challenges which are, among others: the training of farmers, financial and technical support, the protection of children and women, access to school, access to water and health, the development of infrastructure in remote areas, reducing the impact on the environment, reducing CO2 emissions.
